Artist Series Vol. 2: Prints by Rosa Medina

For our second artist series we linked up with Rosa Medina — a printmaker out of Pilsen whose work lives somewhere between Día de los Muertos folk art and punk rock show flyers. Perfect energy for a skateboard.

Rosa designed three graphics for us, each hand-carved as a linocut and then screen-printed onto our standard 8.25 deck. The detail is insane — every line was cut by hand into linoleum blocks and each color is a separate pass through the press.

The three designs: “Ofrenda” — a skeleton ollieing over a bed of marigolds. “Barrio” — an aerial view of a neighborhood with tiny skaters weaving through the streets. “Manos” — a pair of hands shaping a skateboard deck, tools scattered around like sacred objects.

Limited to 50 decks per graphic. When theyre gone, theyre gone. Rosa signed every single one.
